Hello, I am Diabate Lassina. On 12/09/[redacted], my Turkish Airlines flight TPNS8Z/[redacted] from Bologna to Abidjan (Ivory Coast) at 11:15 was cancelled by the airline. Before heading to Bologna airport for my trip, I took a COVID test at the pharmacy on Saturday, the 10th, which was negative. On the day of travel (12/09), at Bologna airport during check-in, I was informed that I needed to take a PCR or molecular test. I took a second molecular test at the airport, which turned out positive for COVID-19. I informed the airline and was instructed to return home, isolate for 5-7 days, and then modify my ticket at my convenience. Since last Thursday, I have been trying to modify my ticket without success. I have contacted everyone (the airline, Opodo agency), but no positive outcome so far. I would like to change my ticket to depart on 22/09/[redacted] and return on 29/12/[redacted]. I am eagerly awaiting a prompt response from your side. Thank you! Sign, Lassina.

I am disappointed to share my recent experience with Turkish Airlines, a company I previously admired. During my flight from Istanbul to Beirut with flight No. [redacted] on September 18, [redacted], I encountered an unfortunate situation. Despite arriving at the gate 40 minutes prior to departure and going through all necessary procedures, we were denied entry due to overbooking. More than 15 passengers, including myself, were left behind and coerced into purchasing alternative tickets. This action, which I strongly believe is the airline's responsibility to manage, left me unsettled. I suspect our seats were resold at inflated prices, leading to this unjust outcome. Additionally, I had already paid for excess baggage, further adding to my disappointment. As a result, I am requesting a refund for the ticket cost and the additional weight fee.

I recently had a troubling experience during a flight from Abuja to Edinburgh with a layover in Istanbul. Despite following the luggage regulations, I was pressured into purchasing additional wrapping for my bag at the Istanbul airport. Upon arrival in Edinburgh, I discovered that my bag had been tampered with, and important items including medications, jewelry, and unique food items were missing. After a stressful search, I found out that my missing bag had my own name tag on it, indicating that it was indeed mine. This realization left me deeply upset and desperate for a resolution. I have reported the incident, provided receipts for the missing items, and am reaching out for assistance in reviewing security footage or exploring compensation options.

I am Balveer Singh Jhansal. My passport number is M [redacted]. Today, I was supposed to fly with TK [redacted] and TK [redacted] on Turkey Airlines from Delhi to Porto with a connection in Istanbul. Unfortunately, flight TK717 was delayed in Delhi causing me to miss my connecting flight in Istanbul. Despite rushing through security, I arrived at my boarding gate A4B at 12:04, only to find it closed. Turkish Airlines staff informed me I had missed my flight and asked for €[redacted] for the next available one. Lacking an alternative, I paid the fee and spent the entire day and night waiting for the next flight on September 23. I didn't have enough money for meals and had to wait in the airport waiting hall. I hope Turkish Airlines will refund me the money and compensate for the extra expenses I incurred during my unexpected stay in Istanbul. Thank you for your help. Best regards.

I have some questions regarding my upcoming flight from Budapest, Hungary to Hatay, Turkey with a layover in Istanbul on October 11. I plan to carry an 8-kilogram carry-on baggage. How can I transport medications in it, particularly my daily contraceptive pill? Do I need a doctor's note for that? What about painkillers for headaches or stomach aches, do those require permission as well? I'm also interested in adding more baggage to my ticket since I noticed I have no allowed cabin baggage but can purchase extra. Furthermore, I understand that all liquids need to be in a 1-liter transparent zip bag with individual products limited to [redacted] ml. Can I exceed the 1-liter total if I stay within the [redacted] ml per item rule, or is it strict? Thank you for your assistance, looking forward to your response.

Hello, On September 26, [redacted], I was denied boarding for my flight from Istanbul to Panama City and then Ecuador, Quito. I had permission from the Panamanian Consulate to stay in the transit area for at least 12 hours, even though I only had a 3-hour, 30-minute layover for my connecting flight to Ecuador, Quito. I am a Turkish citizen, and my wife is a Tajik citizen. I also have a certificate from the Ecuadorian Consulate stating that neither my wife nor I need a visa. Despite all this, I was refused the flight. I paid $[redacted] for the ticket, and I find it unacceptable to be treated this way. If we cannot reach an agreement, I will make this situation public. Turkish Airlines must refund my money. It is unfair for them to decide on visas beyond the consulate's recommendations.

My name is Kayhan Ul. I work in the Conference section at the United Nations. Due to an ankle problem, I paid $[redacted] for seats with extra legroom on the flights from Geneva to Tashkent and Tashkent to Geneva (booking reference: TKV5BT2G). Unfortunately, the aircraft type changed, and I was informed (this is what I was told) that I had to endure my flights under challenging conditions. Furthermore, a flight attendant in Tashkent informed me that such payment was not required. Corner Card confirmed the payment was made on the 29th of last month. A similar issue occurred a few years ago on my Istanbul to Ordos flight, where they gave away my seat to another passenger but resolved it by upgrading me. These kinds of problems do not befit a company that claims to be the best or one of the best in the world. I would like to know your explanations and what will be done. Thank you, Kayhan Ul. My name is J.P., a Burundian passenger holding Passport OP[redacted]. I encountered issues with my trip from Burundi to Serbia on 9 October [redacted], with connecting flights through Entebbe, Istanbul, and Belgrade. Despite the visa exemption for Burundian travelers to Serbia, Turkish Airlines at Entebbe Airport unexpectedly halted my journey, requiring unnecessary documents. Following this, I had to purchase an additional insurance certificate and submit documents via email, but received no response from the airline. Even after being issued a second ticket, TK [redacted], my travel plans were once again disrupted in Entebbe without valid reasons. This ordeal resulted in substantial financial losses of approximately $10,[redacted] and forced me to return to Bujumbura on 11 October due to missed flights. I propose rescheduling my trip for November in adherence to the mutual agreement between Burundi and Serbia, and kindly request a new ticket from Bujumbura to Serbia.

I reached out to Turkish Airlines regarding my flight experience. My original flight, TK [redacted], was rescheduled without my consent to TK [redacted], departing hours later than scheduled. The delays totaled 11 hours and 20 minutes due to tech issues and other reasons. I faced confusion and conflicting directions from airline staff, including being denied a hotel stay. Instead, I was offered a food voucher for limited options. The overall customer service and handling of the situation were extremely disappointing. I am seeking a refund for my disrupted travel on 9-10-22. [redacted]

Airline Reservation code: TKPK7D 1. Flight TK [redacted] from IAH to IST was rescheduled with no issues. However, connecting flight TK [redacted] from IST to NJF was cancelled and we were diverted to Baghdad. This resulted in a 3-hour road travel from Baghdad to Najaf for six persons, incurring a USD [redacted] fare. 2. Due to the rescheduled flight, four suitcases did not arrive in Baghdad, leading to a USD [redacted] round trip from Najaf to Baghdad to retrieve them. 3. The return flight TK0797 from Najaf to Istanbul was also rescheduled, necessitating an extra night's stay in Najaf at USD 70 per night per person x 6, totaling USD [redacted] plus tax. Feedback was given with reference number TK[redacted] on Oct 5. I am seeking assistance. Despite multiple attempts, I failed to reach Turkish Airlines. The Travel Agent reimbursed only £38 for a £[redacted] ticket for travel from Dublin to Jeddah on 1st April [redacted]. The airline redirected me to the Travel Agent, who also did not assist. The flight was canceled by Saudi Arabian authorities on short notice due to Covid, unbeknownst to me. I arrived at Dublin airport, only to be denied boarding. Communicating with Turkish Airlines has been challenging as they offer no help. The Travel Agent's support has similarly been ineffective. My wife and I experienced dissatisfaction with Turkish Airlines due to flight delays. This resulted in missing our flight back to Australia, causing us to miss the birth of our grandchild, which was devastating. I also missed five days of work and was left without luggage, including clothing, phone chargers, and medication. We did not have any spending money while waiting in Istanbul. We are seeking compensation for these issues. Hello, I wanted to discuss the cancellation fee for our flights. We purchased 2 adult tickets totaling $[redacted] from Turkish Airlines for a departure on October 30 from Chicago. Due to visa restrictions of 30 days, we contacted Turkish Airlines to change our dates. The customer representative informed us there would be a charge of $1[redacted] per person to change to upcoming dates, even if we altered the return from Bangladesh. As there were no cheaper flights available, we cancelled at a cost of $[redacted] per person. However, we later found new tickets with Turkish Airlines for November 6, costing $[redacted] for 2 adults. As the cancellation was already processed, I am inquiring if a partial refund of the cancellation fee could be possible, considering we rebooked with the same airline. Any assistance on this matter would be appreciated. Thank you!

I am reaching out to address an issue with my flight booking. I noticed that my name was mistakenly included on two tickets for a flight to Perth on December 17th from Copenhagen, resulting in me having two seats for the same trip. Our group consists of 5 travelers who will be flying together: Lis N., John N., Lenny D., Rikke N., and Anders N. One of the tickets should actually be under Anders N.'s name. The tickets in question are as follows: Ticket No. 1 - Reservation code V5E4s, Ticket no. [redacted][redacted], AJ/TK7875. Ticket No. 2 - Confirmed booking no. [redacted], Turkish Airlines TK7875, Booking no. IQ3svT. This mistake may have happened when purchasing my 11-year-old son's ticket. I visited the airport on August 17th to rectify the error but was unable to locate your office. After a 3-hour wait, I spoke with a helpful employee who promised to inform you about the situation, yet I have not received any updates. I need this matter resolved promptly as we need to apply for visas before our trip. Thank you, Rikke N. Email: [redacted]

I flew from New Delhi to Heathrow via Istanbul on October 31st with a 2-hour layover in Istanbul. My departure was at 7 am (IST), and I arrived at the airport at 5:30 am. Upon reaching the Indigo Airlines counter, I was informed that the flight had departed at 5:30 am without any prior notification. The staff mentioned I should have been at the airport 5 hours before the flight, which was new information to me, as during COVID, the advised time was 3 hours before departure. Despite having an hour before the boarding gates closed, the officials refused to assist me or provide an alternative flight. I had to book a last-minute, expensive flight to continue my journey to Liverpool from Heathrow. Despite my efforts to contact Goibibo for support, the website was unresponsive. I have screenshots of the website issues and seek assistance in obtaining a refund for this disappointing travel experience.

I traveled from Budapest to Panama City via Istanbul on your flight TK0903. Unfortunately, my checked luggage did not arrive with me and I immediately reported it. It contains all my clothes, sunglasses, contact lenses, important medicines, perfumes, and toiletries. I have had to purchase some items, but many are irreplaceable. As I continue traveling to Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and back to Budapest, I hope my luggage can be located soon. I am awaiting information regarding compensation via email as I cannot be reached by phone. Despite this inconvenience, I trust Turkish Airlines to handle this matter efficiently. I hope to retrieve my belongings, especially my personal items that hold sentimental value. Looking forward to hearing from you soon via email. Sincerely, Regina K.

I reported an issue to the Turkish Airlines feedback page as advised, but it's been over two weeks with no response. I also complained through the airline's seatback survey four times, but still no reply. The problem revolves around my itinerary. Two segments (DFW-IST and IST-DFW) were removed two days before my Nov 2 travel date. Despite contacting the call center and following the suggestion to file a complaint on the feedback page, I received no response. With the travel date closing in, I approached my travel agent, who was able to reinstate the deleted sectors. However, the only solution the airline provided was to repurchase the ticket, incurring a $[redacted] penalty and fare difference. I have submitted complaints through various channels, but unfortunately, no one has addressed my concerns to date.

I need to travel with my guitar on a round trip flight from Miami International Airport, connecting in Istanbul and going on to Budapest. The case is 11 centimeters over the checked bag limit. I tried calling Turkish Airlines customer service, but had trouble communicating with them. I'm wondering how strictly they enforce the bag size limit and how much extra it might cost for an oversized checked bag.

Dear Sir or Madam, I am currently in Bahrain and have already booked a return flight from Bahrain to Berlin with you for 28.11.[redacted] (RR8AD6). I recently received the opportunity to attend the Germany game in Qatar on 27.11.[redacted]. Therefore, I attempted to rebook my flight, but was unsuccessful. I have now made a new booking with you for 01.12.[redacted] (U3LQS6). I have been a loyal customer and anticipate flying with you many more times in the future. Is there a possibility for an exception to be made and for me to be reimbursed for the flight on 27.11.[redacted]? Attending a match live in the stadium is a unique opportunity for me, and I would greatly appreciate your assistance in this matter. Warm regards from Bahrain and I look forward to your response. I am writing to address an issue with my Turkish Airlines ticket (TK/VWRDCS) for the TEHRAN-ROVANIEMI-TEHRAN trip on January 5-10. Despite my need to depart on the 10th to attend to patients on the 11th, I was informed of a flight change to January 12th. I am willing to consider a Helsinki flight on the 10th via Finland Air, but Turkish Airlines Tehran management has been unresponsive. They presented only two options: to return on the 12th or pay extra for the Helsinki trip on the 10th. I seek assistance in resolving this matter promptly. Thank you for your attention.
