We are a tax-exempt nonprofit organization using an Apple Macintosh computer with the Mozilla Firefox browser for our operations. We are looking to prepare and file Form [redacted]-PF and are curious about TaxAct's product "TaxAct Tax-Exempt Organizations." We are aware that the download version is not compatible with Macintosh, but we cannot find information about an online version on TaxAct's website. When attempting to purchase "TaxAct for Tax-Exempt Organizations," only the download option is available. We are seeking clarification on whether there is an online version for Macintosh and its compatible browsers and how we can acquire it since the website does not provide clear support for it. Thank you! - Richard W. Fellner

Hello, I'm reaching out because my federal tax return was significantly lower than expected due to the child tax credit being deducted. My refund should have been $1,[redacted] but I only received $4. Despite checking that my daughter's information was accurate and that I meet all the criteria for the credit, the IRS provided reasons that do not apply to my situation. I have been unable to reach the IRS for clarification. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer in looking into this issue to determine why my child tax credit was removed incorrectly. Thank you.

I have been waiting in line 3-4 times for a call-back about my [redacted] tax return. I had a set appointment time once and queued for a general call-back three times, but I have not received any calls. The information and email confirm that my calls are confirmed, but no specific time is provided. If there is a time given, it disappears around the scheduled call time, leaving me waiting at my phone and computer for hours. I would appreciate it if someone could take ownership of this issue and inform me of when I can expect a call regarding my tax return. Thank you. Harlan

I am unable to receive the six-digit number to access my TaxAct account since I do not own a mobile phone. Occasionally, I do receive the number via email, but upon entering it, the system rejects it as invalid, causing frustration. It would be greatly beneficial if TaxAct could provide a toll-free number for direct communication with a customer service representative. Unfortunately, I lack long-distance coverage, making phone assistance challenging. My contact number is [redacted], and I would kindly request a call from a representative who can guide me on accessing my account. Thank you. - A. Burch

I am experiencing an issue with my [redacted] Wisconsin state tax return where my estimated tax payments made during the year are not importing or displaying. Despite correctly inputting the information in the federal Q&A section, when attempting to manually enter it into the Wisconsin form, I receive a message stating that I can no longer file electronically if I proceed. This is frustrating. Even after updating TaxAct, the problem persists. The payment form on the Wisconsin form is visible but the options are not accessible. I have attempted to start over from the state's main page multiple times with no success. I am left with the choice of paying an underpayment fine or entering the information manually. This is a disappointing situation. Thank you for any assistance in resolving this issue.

Our tax return was rejected due to issues with either the pin number or the total income reported. I filed jointly with my wife and received a W2 from my main job and a [redacted]-NEC for my work as a DoorDash independent contractor. While answering questions related to the [redacted]-NEC, I encountered some confusion as some questions seemed unclear or irrelevant.

I prepared my son's taxes and had generated the [redacted] US Individual tax return for [redacted] to e-file. Recently, he received a letter from the Michigan Department of Treasury requesting additional details, including his federal return, mentioning a potential delay in processing until June 29, [redacted]. Upon reviewing the tax return on Taxact, I noticed discrepancies between the printed version and the online file. It seems that instead of the standard deduction, the online form indicated someone could claim him, resulting in a lower deduction. Surprisingly, the box was checked on the new form but not on the original printout. I am puzzled by this inconsistency and unsure how it occurred since the printed version does not align with the electronically filed return.

I incorrectly filled out the PA State form. After speaking with them, it was confirmed that only TaxAct can amend my return. I was charged for this service and it was supposed to be guaranteed. The return indicated I owed money to PA, but this income was from California before I moved to PA. I mistakenly entered my PA employer under "PA Business," but I did not have a business there. Your system did not accept "no" as an answer, leading me to input incorrect information. I am seeking a number to call for assistance or a refund. I have also encountered a minor issue with my California return. I have been unsuccessful in reaching you despite multiple attempts.
