Hello, I signed up for a free trial, intending to cancel before it renewed. Unfortunately, I missed the cancellation window and it charged me $80 for a yearly subscription today. I haven't used the service yet and it just renewed a few hours ago. Is there any way to get a refund for this charge? Thank you.

I signed up for a 2-week free trial of PLUS. As the trial period was ending, I attempted to cancel it. I was reassured that I would receive a 2-day notice before being charged. However, to my surprise, I was charged for a year of Plus without any prior notification today. Upon confirming it, I discovered that I couldn't unsubscribe without being charged. I never provided my credit card information, so I am unsure how they obtained it. I enjoy using Duolingo, but the free version suffices for me. Such deceptive practices of promising notices and then charging abruptly feel unjust and dishonest. I am seeking a refund for the subscription.

Hi there, I recently tried out Duolingo and my free trial has just concluded. I was interested in continuing with the Duolingo Plus subscription but intended to pay for it on a monthly basis. However, to my surprise, my account has already been charged for a yearly subscription amounting to 80€. Unfortunately, I am unable to afford this lump sum payment at the moment. I had initially assumed it would be a monthly subscription. Is there any way I can request a refund for the yearly subscription fee and switch to a monthly payment plan instead? I truly cannot manage the yearly payment in my current financial situation.

I recently accepted a T-Mobile Tuesday offer to learn a language and was directed to a Duolingo site. However, upon arrival, I found the platform lacking in instructions on how to use it effectively. I came across a Q&A section where other users answer queries, but significant details such as the purpose of earned points like lingots remained unclear. Moreover, I noticed references to Duolingo Plus without clear information on its benefits, and I did not knowingly purchase it. I am baffled by features like "hearts" and their significance. To top it off, I discovered a charge of $92.48 on my credit card without understanding its coverage or duration. I am left confused about why I have this charge, what it entails, and how it relates to the free program I initially signed up for.

I bought the test on the morning of the 23rd of December, but I haven't been able to take it yet due to technical issues. After clicking the start button, the test loading screen never seems to progress. I've tried using a different laptop, changing locations, and even attempted taking the test at 1 am. My internet connection is stable during the test. Can you provide any guidance on how to proceed?

I need help logging into my old Duolingo account on the app. I have downloaded the new app, but it won't let me log in with my old credentials. My username is "mon-petit-chat," email is [redacted], and I created the account in [redacted]. I am able to log in using Google, see my profile and points, but I am unable to access any lessons or games. I've unintentionally created two additional accounts under my name "Donna Grimaldi," but I prefer to use my original account where I've accumulated [redacted] points.

Hello, I recently bought a subscription at a 60% discount for $59.99. However, I couldn't locate the family subscription option in the app. After visiting your website, I discovered I could switch from an individual to a family plan easily. Once I paid for the individual plan, the family option appeared on my app without me needing to search for it. When I tried to switch, the system charged me the full amount for the family plan without deducting the individual plan. I simply want the family plan at the 60% discount. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hello! I was considering upgrading to the Plus version of Duolingo. However, I haven't received my payment from work yet, so I opted to cancel it. When I thought I had canceled it, it turns out that I was charged anyway. Money is tight for me at the moment, and as soon as I noticed the deduction, I canceled the subscription. Please, could you refund my money? I am really struggling financially right now. I'm having difficulty even affording food for myself, and this situation is making it even harder. I attempted the English test three times. On the first two attempts, I received an email stating that my microphone was not on, although it was confirmed as functioning by the Duolingo app prior to both tests. Frustratingly, on the third try, the test vanished from the screen, and I was informed via email that the test could not be certified due to non-uploading, requiring me to pay again. I urge you to review all the tests I have taken. Repeated payments due to app issues are illogical and unfair.

I was charged my annual fee for Duolingo on an old Apple ID that I need to get rid of. To do this, I have to uninstall the app, remove the old Apple ID, and then reinstall the app. I have a [redacted]-day streak and a lot of progress that I don't want to lose during this process. Is there a way to save my information so that when I reinstall the app on my new Apple ID, I can retain all my progress?

I attempted to log into my Duolingo account using [redacted] Duolingo claims the email address is not in their records. My cousin follows me on Duolingo and showed me a screenshot of my account on her list, indicating the data is still there. I have reached out for help via email and through the Duolingo Facebook page but have yet to receive a response. I bought Duolingo Plus on Dec 12, [redacted]. Celeste L.

I have been utilizing Duolingo for most of the pandemic and enjoy expanding my language proficiency. I reside in the UK but recently visited the US for approximately 2 weeks. Yesterday (January 3rd), before boarding my flight back to the UK, I completed a lesson to ensure I didn't lose my streak. After finishing the lesson around 6:30 pm EST, the app displayed the additional day added to my streak. Today, January 4th (11:24 EST), I received an email stating that I've used my streak freeze. This is not the first time this has happened, and I am positive that my streak was unbroken. It's not related to time zones since on December 31st, I completed a lesson around 11:50 pm EST and received a congratulatory message for making it just before the deadline. Even though this doesn't have any financial impact, it's quite frustrating to put in the effort, only for Duolingo to overlook it. I am curious about why this occurs and how it can be resolved. I have been using the free version of Duolingo for a few years. On December 29, [redacted], they offered me free access to the Family Plan if I upgraded to Duolingo Plus. I upgraded, but I'm unable to see the option to add the Family Plan in the Android app or on the desktop platform. Despite the promotion ending on January 1, [redacted], the update has not occurred. I upgraded to take advantage of the Family Plan offer, and if this cannot be resolved, I would like a refund. The Help Center FAQ's banner mentions waiting 48 hours after the promotion ends to see Family Plan pricing, but this hasn't worked.

Hello, my name is Roy and my username is Roy583171. I recently finished competing for first place in the diamond league, but unfortunately, there seems to be no record of my achievement. I did not receive the badge, nor was I able to take a screenshot for proof. Despite potential internet issues and a hectic schedule, I dedicated a lot of time and effort to claim this victory, and it is disheartening to have nothing to show for it. I have already reported this as a bug and received an automated email stating that I may not get a personal response. This situation has caused me considerable stress, and I am hopeful that steps are being taken to address this issue.

I urgently need assistance. I attempted the English Duolingo test three times. Two of the attempts had errors. Upon taking the test for the third time, I received an email stating my English test couldn't be certified due to not having a private room. I live alone in a house where rooms are rented out to different people. Despite this, I made every effort to create a suitable environment during the exam, informing my housemates and putting up a "do not disturb" sign on my door. I am confident there was minimal noise during the exam. I kindly request a review of my exam video, as my face was visible throughout, focused on the screen and keyboard. It is crucial for me to obtain this certification for university purposes. I do not have the funds to retake the exam. Your understanding and assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated. I was enjoying my Duolingo Welsh lessons when suddenly I got signed out. When I tried to log back in, I realized I lost the progress of the last few weeks. I was at level 3 out of 6, Lesson 4 out of 5, and now I'm back at the beginning, also losing my subscription. I followed the advice to delete and reinstall the app, but it didn't fix the issue. I accidentally lost my streak of 67 days on the Duolingo App. Due to this, I have lost my motivation to continue using the app. There was no clear explanation on how the consecutive days system works, which has left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I used to enjoy learning Spanish using the app in the past. However, now I have a negative association with it due to this experience.

For several months, I have been using my Duolingo Plus account on my iMac. However, a few months back, I lost access to the account on both my iPad and iPhone. I attempted to reset my password by clicking on "forgot password," but I never received the email with the reset code. Despite reaching out to Duolingo's Help website multiple times, I have not received any response. I am unsure of how to proceed in resolving this issue.
